Gilbert Scott - Cloisters
Location: Gilbert Scott Building, Rooms 244, 243, 243E, 350, Glasgow, G12 8QQ
Zone: 2
Project Overview:
The Gilbert Scott Cloisters Project aimed to deliver a prototype workspace to test new ways of working, specifically hybrid and agile work modes using four rooms in the Cloisters area of the Main Building.
This space was previously occupied by the University Services team and, following the outputs of the Enabling New Ways of Working group, it was proposed that the redundant space be used to support a hybrid working pilot.
The pilot aimed to create 5 workspace zones supporting social, collaboration, personal/focussed space within a collective neighbourhood. To test these typologies and inform design and reconfiguration of existing space, the initial proposal was that teams or business units engaging in the transition to new ways of working would be assigned the space for a period (typically one month).
